Say bye bye to tanning beds if you are under 18.
California is the first state in the nation to ban tanning beds for children and adolescents under the age of 18. 30 other states have legislation on the books to follow suit—and we’re glad to hear it. The American Academy of Dermatology states that people who use indoor tanning beds are at a 75 percent higher risk for melanoma, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
Many other medical associations and even the World Health Organization have expressed support to California’s legislature on the tanning bed ban.
Check out this link for a video and more information from ABC News.
As always, Sinless Sun is the natural alternative to the harmful effects of tanning beds.

Travel Size Tan Can! Just $14.50
Our new travel-size Tan in a Can has just arrived! This is our head-to-toe gradual self-tanner, which is great for maintenance or as a touch up spray to your tan. It’s the same solution as our popular Tan in a Can, except it’s the perfect size for traveling and vacations. The spray-on feature goes on smoothly so you get no streaks, no orange, and no unpleasant odor. It’s similar to the solution we use in the studio, which contains all-natural beet and cane sugar extracts, as well as 100% whole leaf aloe vera. There are no chemicals, dyes or perfumes in this solution.
To use, you simply shake the can, spray it about 6 inches away from your skin and then blend any excess tan with a make-up brush for a flawless looking tan, or to maintain the tan you already have. This travel size can is available for just $14.50 at Sinless Sun, stop by the studio today.

Our staff here at Sinless Sun dish on products they love. Today, we are featuring our esthetician Ambera’s favorite product!

Name: Ambera S.
Product I love: Artistry Alpha Hydroxy Serum
Brand? Artistry Skin Care
Description: The AHAs in this product help exfoliate and smooth the skin. I noticed a difference in about 12 weeks after using the product! You use this product after toning and cleansing the skin. It also contains oat extracts which make it gentle.
Why I love it: Keeps my skin looking smooth and glowing all year round, but it’s not too harsh.
Benefits? Alpha Hydroxy Acids exfoliate skin and oat extract soothes—it reduces skin dryness while exfoliating at the same time.
Price: $40. One bottle will last me about a month.
Where can we find it? Amway.com
About Ambera: Ambera has been in the skincare industry for over five years. One of our resident airbrush tanning technicians, she specializes in waxing and eyelash extensions, as well. To schedule an appointment to get waxed, tanned or schedule a consultation for lash extensions, give us a call at 720-232-4321.

Eww.. avoid this!
August is over and Labor Day is on it’s way. This weekend, whether you are barbecuing or hanging out by the pool, the weather is going to be beautiful! With beautiful weather, however, comes a higher risk of sun-burn and facing the free radicals produced by UV damage. At Sinless Sun, we’ve compiled a list of great natural sunscreens and some tips for protecting that sexy skin of yours for one of the last big events of the summer.
PLAN AHEAD: You should always apply sunscreen on 30 minutes before going outside, and reapply every hour and a half to prevent your skin from burning.
DON’T MISS HOT SPOTS: The most forgotten areas are commonly your ears, your calves and the back of your neck, as well as your scalp! Although you can’t sunscreen up your scalp, a cute summer hat will protect your head, too.
Natural Sunscreen Top Five:
5. Jason Sport Natural Sunblock SPF 45 is made with acai to fight free radicals with antioxidants.
4. Aubrey Natural Sun SPF 30+ is made with green tea and jojoba oil to moisturize your skin.
3. Ahava Mineral Sun Protection anti-aging moisturizer is SPF 50 and uses dead sea minerals to soothe the skin.
2. John Masters Organics SPF 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreen helps fight skin-cell damage with green tea.
